Here's what we were working with - an open lattice patio cover that let in way more sun than shade. On a hot day, that kind of cover does almost nothing for you. The furniture's out there, the space is set up, but nobody's actually sitting under it because it's too bright and too warm. That's a backyard that doesn't get used.

We pulled the old lattice structure down and got to work on a solid aluminum patio cover replacement. The aluminum panels we use are the real deal - thick, sturdy material that blocks the sun completely and holds up against the weather without warping, rotting, or needing to be repainted every few years. Our crew handled the full teardown and installation, bringing the new panels in and setting everything from the ledger board to the support posts.

What makes a solid cover worth it isn't just the shade - it's what you can do with the space underneath it. This one got finished with a ceiling fan and recessed LED lighting built right in. That combination means the patio is actually comfortable during the day and usable at night. It stops being a space you walk past and starts being a space you actually hang out in.

The difference between a lattice cover and a solid aluminum cover is hard to overstate. No gaps means no sunburn, no rain dripping through, and no dead zone in your backyard. The aluminum construction means zero maintenance headaches down the road. It just sits there, looking clean, doing its job year after year.
